Border Patrol honors Youth of the Month recipients for February

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - A group of high school students were honored by the Laredo Sector Border Patrol for their hard work and dedication.

For the past 30 years, Border Patrol has recognized several local high school seniors for its ‘Youth of the Month’ program.

A total of 11 high school seniors received the prestigious award.
The following students were chosen for this award:

-Yadira Aimee Chaires from Cigarroa High School.
-Alexia Janett Luna from Harmony Science Academy.
-Oralia Ortiz from Hector J. Garcia Early College High School.
-Samantha Chapa from Alexander High School.
-Lauren Melendez from Nixon High School.
-Lizbeth A. Ortiz from LBJ High School.
-Carlos Daniel Cruz from Martin High School.
-Santiago Saenz Jr. from St. Augustine High School.
-Priscila Garcin from Texas Academy of International and STEM studies.
-David Gonzalez from United High School and Edna Romo from United High School.
