LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection made a multi-million dollar meth bust at a Laredo port of entry over the weekend.
The incident happened on Saturday, February 9th at the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge when officers referred a Dodge Journey to secondary inspection.
CBP says the driver was a 22-year-old Mexican Citizen from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
When officers searched the car, they found 18 packages which contained 100 pounds of meth.
The meth had an estimated street value of $2,201,954.
CBP seized the narcotics and the driver was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security.
