CBP seizes more than one million dollars worth of cocaine

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized alleged cocaine with an estimated street value of one million dollars.

The seizure happened on Sunday July 23rd at the Lincoln Juarez Bridge when a CBP officer referred a 1995 Viaggio commercial bus for further inspection.

A canine unit searched the bus and found 55 packages allegedly containing 147 pounds of cocaine

The seizure had an estimated street value of $1,136,960.

CBP officers seized the narcotics and the case was turned over to Homeland Security.
