LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The City of Laredo is looking to adopt a lactation policy that took effect four years ago.

City council will make a decision on the policy that will provide reasonable breaks for breastfeeding moms so they can pump at work.

It also requires employers to provide a private space, other than a restroom to allow mothers to be shielded from view.

However, Texas law does not provide legal protection for breastfeeding moms.
