Commercial Vehicle Catches Fire

A commercial vehicle carrying oil caught fire by Wellhausen Road near Bruni, Texas.

The Webb County Fire Department and the Freer Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene assisting with the call.

Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Department of Transportation personnel have Highway 59 closed between FM 2895 and FM 2050. East bound traffic is being detoured thru FM 2985 to Highway 359, and west bound traffic is being detoured thru FM 2050 to Highway 359.

The traveling public should approach with caution, as well as follow all safety signs and traffic control devices in the affected area while looking out for the safety of first responder crews.
