Congressman Cuellar secures funding for Customs and Border Protection
Money has been secured to create hundreds of new jobs at U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
In this fiscal year appropriation package, Congressman Henry Cuellar secured funds for 600 new CBP officers and will encourage CBP to hire an additional 600.
Cuellar is also funding for more technology at the border such as innovative non-intrusive imaging equipment and additional canine teams.
By adding these resources to our ports of entry, Cuellar believes it will increase security and provide smoother trade.
