County approves 16 million dollars for long-term projects

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Webb County approved a 16 million dollar bond for long-term projects.

Among those projects is the purchase and renovations of the old downtown H-E-B building.

Precinct Three Commissioner John Galo says they are looking to house the Sheriff’s and Tax Office as well as other departments in that building.

Galo says they currently have a contract with an architect and are in the process of getting that building up and running.

The other projects the bond money will be used for is the Las Lomas Draining Project and for audio and visual equipment.
