LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A court ordered issued against commissioners court by a local district judge has been pulled.
About a week ago, a court order was placed on commissioners court by Judge Joe Lopez, ordering them to undo the changes they made with the new fiscal year budget.
The change resulted in the removal of one part time judge position from the county and making another part time position full time.
The court order asked for that judge position to be placed back on the payroll.
Legal counsel for the county answered the court order, which was pulled.
County budget officer says that the county hopes to work on resolving the issue.
Last week Commissioner John Galo called the order a bullying tactic and said the order was just a worthless piece of paper.
