Families hold vigil for Cigarroa High School girls

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - It’s been a week since a fatal a car accident claimed the lives of two Ciagarroa High School students.

On Saturday, Jocelyn “Jojo” Arredondo will be laid to rest.

Friends and family members of Jocelyn gathered at the Gamez and Sons Funeral Home on Friday morning for visitation and rosary services.

A vigil will be held outside at the parking lot in member of Jocelyn.

Organizers say that they were moved by Jocelyn’s decision to become an organ donor, saving lives even after her passing.

The vigil will act as a message to parents and young adults to be aware and cautious while on the road.

Funeral services for Alexis Raygoza were held on Tuesday.

Dashonda Silva is the only survivor of three.

The vigil will be held on Friday night at the Gamez and Sons Funeral home parking lot, located at 1029 Bob Bullock Loop.

The event will start at 8:30 p.m. and last until midnight.

Family members are asking those wanting to participate to wear white.
