Former 'Voice' Contestant Performs in Laredo

LAREDO, TEXAS A special guest made her way to Laredo for the weekend.

Clarissa Serna, former contestant on NBC's The Voice season 6, performed in Laredo Friday night. She sang some original songs, rock, and Spanish music along with her band at the Cold Brew. She is originally from Corpus Christi and was visiting the Gateway City for the second time. During her time in Laredo, she shared some advice to young musicians. Serna says, "When I meet young girls and boys who want to be musicians, or wanna follow what every their dreams may be, it's really important for me to try to be a good role model for them and to encourage them to follow their dreams and believe in themselves and to let them know that anything is possible."

Meanwhile, she continues performing throughout Texas and is currently working on recording new music. She's also a dj at Rock 92.7 in Corpus Christi.
