LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - If you are planning on hitting the roads this Spring Break, you might be paying more at the pump.
File photo: Gas prices
According to the Lundberg Survey, the average price of regular-grade gasoline is up six cents a gallon over the past two weeks to $2.50.
Despite these recent spikes, gas is still nine cents lower than what it was a year ago.
The highest average price in the nation is $3.29 a gallon in the San Francisco Bay area.
The lowest price is $2.13 in St. Louis Missouri; however, experts say gas price increases are likely to continue.
Industry analysts say it would take a notable and sustained drop in oil prices to cause a gasoline price decline at this point.
