Happy National Winnie the Pooh Day!

In words of a famous bear, “Oh bother”, we are celebrating the silly old bear “Winnie the Pooh”.

January 18th is known as National Winnie the Pooh Day.

It also happens to be the birthday of A. A. Milne, the author who came up with the idea for the honey-loving bear.

Milne’s bear was inspired by a black bear his son Christopher loved to visit the zoo.

The friendship inspired a collection of books starring Pooh and his friends in 1926.

The books became movies and the most recent movie was the 2018 Christopher Robin film.

Also, the voice actor of the beloved bear Jim Cummings will be in Laredo next weekend for the TAMIU Comic Con!
