TIJUANA, MEXICO (NBC) - More Central American migrants breached the American border, following the arrival of a caravan of migrants in the Mexican town of Tijuana two weeks ago.
The woman is from Honduras and she pushed herself head first and face down through a gap dug under the border fence.
She was followed by her three-year-old daughter and says she wants to provide a better life for her.
After crossing into the United States, they were taken in by U.S. Border Patrol officers.
U.S. authorities acknowledge there's been a "Slight uptick" in the number of migrants crossing the border illegally, compared with the number before the caravan arrived in Tijuana.
