The City of Detroit paid tribute to queen of soul Aretha Franklin on Monday night during a Jay-Z and Beyonce concert.
The singers dedicated their show to queen’s iconic songs but it was DJ Khaled who brought the house down when he got the crowd to sing her classic hit, Respect.
The singer is gravely ill and is currently in hospice care at her home.
The 76-year-old singer announced back in February of 2017 that she would retire.
Franklin had canceled a performance back in March and another in April after her management team said she was ordered by her doctor to stay off the road and rest.
No word on her current condition at the moment.
