LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Candidates for City Council District One got into a friendly debate during Tuesday's Kiwanis club meeting.
With Election Day just a month away, Kiwanis members wanted to hear from candidate Luis Cisneros and incumbent Rudy Gonzalez Jr. on what they hope to do for District One.
Each candidate was given time to speak on issues they believe need to be addressed in the district, and the city as a whole.
We spoke with both candidates before the meeting on what they hope to address in the community if they win. Cisneros hopes to improve code enforcement in his district and Councilman Gonzalez hopes to continue his effort fixing road conditions.
The first day of early voting is October 22 and Election Day is November 6th.
