LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - With Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers becoming more common these days, a local school district is looking to get its students interested in the courses.
LISD is being proactive and encouraging all of its students to get involved in computer science courses.
Throughout the week, the district will be promoting the courses through a series of different programs and events.
School officials say many often times students automatically reject the courses because they think that it’s not for them.
LISD believes that every student has the opportunity and the ability to become an engineer or computer technician.
If you would like to get your child involved in STEM courses contact your child’s respective campus.
