LISD hosts seminar to discuss human trafficking

LAREDO,Texas(KGNS)- Laredo ISD held a Parent and Family Engagement meeting focusing on a very serious topic.

Speakers from the Department of Transnational Organized Crime addressed parents on the sex trafficking of minors in Texas.

Human trafficking can affect men, women, and children, and is described as the forced labor or sex by a third party for profit or gain.

Parents were provided with a list of all the possible red flags that could help indicate the existence of human trafficking.
