Update: LPD investigating warehouse death

The Laredo Police Department has identified the victim of Tuesday’s warehouse accident.

The victim was identified as 25-year-old Mario Alberto Galvan Herrera.

According to police Galvan Herrera was crushed to death while unloading a giant cylinder of steel rebar from a flat bed.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at a warehouse located on the 600 block of Enterprise.

Police are investigating the case to see if foul play was involved.

A man is found dead in a warehouse as a result of an apparent work-related accident.

Laredo Police were called out to a warehouse on the 600 block of Enterprise near Mines Road at around five Tuesday evening.

Authorities say the man who worked at the warehouse was found underneath a load of material, which had fallen on top of him.

Police are investigating if it was a work-related accident or if there was possible foul play involved.

At this time the man’s identity has not been released.
