LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Another event to continue the police week festivities saw officers with LPD competing to be known as the “Top Dog”.
For the first time in a decade, over 20 of Laredo’s finest participated in the three part event run by Operation Peacemaker.
The event started with a mile and a half run at UniTrade Stadium, followed by a number of physical tests that included the bench press, squats and pull ups.
The finale of the test was held at the Arena Gun Club with each of the officers taking aim at a target 20 feet away in a shooting competition.
First place goes to Jonathan Castillo while Rupert Martinez came in second and Jesus Logo rounded out the top three.
