LAREDO,Texas(KGNS)- The recent weather has brought environmental obstacles, as well as some health concerns.
The City of Laredo Health Department is reminding the public that after heavy rainfall mosquito breeding is most prevalent.
The Health Department has conducted testing for Zika, Dengue, and West Nile, but so far tests have come back negative.
In order to help prevent mosquito breeding around your home, experts recommend you get rid of standing water, properly dispose of trash, and cut your lawn.
If you happen to see standing water anywhere else, you are encouraged to call 3-1-1 and report the problem.
