LAREDO,Texas(KGNS)- Laredo College’s Board of Trustees met Monday to go over several topics, including the evaluation of College President Dr. Ricardo Solis’ contract.
Dr. Solis was appointed to the position back August 2016.
Board members closely examined his contributions to the college and decided to extend his contract for two more years.
Dr. Solis was offered an eight-percent increase, which comes out to $196,800 per year.
An amount board members say is well below the state average for that position.
Mercurio Martinez President of the Board of Trustees says he is happy to have Dr. Solis on board for the next few years and is looking forward to seeing the effect this will have in our community.
