LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A former Laredo Police Department Investigator arrested on various charges stemming from his participation in an eight-liner raid is set for his first hearing Monday.
Anthony Carillo Jr. is accused of depositing between $2,500 and $30,000 of confiscated money into his own personal bank account on three separate occasions.
A search warrant from police and the District Attorney’s Office revealed that he allegedly took gambling proceeds during the raid of several businesses and falsified case reports.
The 26-year veteran is being charged with four counts including one count of tampering with evidence and three counts of abuse of official capacity.
His hearing will take place at the 406th District Court.
