Laredo Police Officer arrested following family disturbance call

An 11 year veteran of the Laredo Police department finds himself on the other side of the law.

Julian Alfredo Ochoa was arrested on Wednesday on charges stemming from an alleged incident.

According to reports, police got a call about a domestic disturbance at a home that allegedly left the victim with a serious physical injury.

It is also being reported that the victim was not allowed to leave the home after the incident.

The victim was able to get help and reported the alleged incident to police.

The police department's special investigations unit started an internal investigation.

Ochoa was taken into custody and taken to the Webb County Jail.

He's charged with aggravated assault, family violence, and one count of unlawful restraint.

He's currently on administrative duty pending the outcome of this case in court.

His case is still under an internal investigation by the office of public integrity.
