LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Earlier this month two Laredoans went to Detroit Michigan to compete in the Indoor Junior Olympics. Carlos Toscano competed in the 14-year-old category, placing 7th in the 800-meter run, 7th in the 3,000 meter run and 8th in the 1500 meter run.

Chris Navarrette took home third in the 1500 meter, 4th in the 800 meter and in his final race he won the 3,000 meter race to become the Indoor Junior Olympic Champion.
Both Chris and Carlos are from the Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School Cross Country and Track Team, as well as the RXC Running Club.
Navarrete is a freshman at LBJ.
