Update: Six men arrested in connection to ATM robbery

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - A total of six people are arrested in connection to an ATM robbery that happened on Tuesday afternoon.

Laredo Police say they were on the lookout for a Jeep Cherokee and multiple people who had fled the scene.

Officers were able to track down the vehicle but nobody was inside.
A nearby surveillance video captured the moment when five men jumped into another car.

The men were eventually apprehended by Border Patrol at the I-35 checkpoint.

Officers were able to recover a total of $88,220.00 that was allegedly stolen from the ATM technician.

All six men were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and engaging in organized crime.

Laredo Police are investigating an ATM robbery at a bank in North Laredo.

According to Police the incident happened at the Chase Bank on Loop 20 and International Boulevard.

Police say a technician was performing maintenance on the machine when two African American individuals approached the tech and assaulted him.

The two suspects made off with the money but no word yet on how much was actually taken.

Police say the two men are still at large.
