Local elementary school receives generous donation from Burlington

Local elementary students were singing the praises of an upcoming department store.

The choir at San Isidro Elementary were signing with gratitude thanks to a donation made by the new Burlington Department Store.

A total of $10,000 was given to the elementary school which will be used for future school supplies.

Educators were thrilled that their school was chosen for this generous contribution.

Dr. Myrtha Villarreal with San Isidro Elementary says she is very thankful to Burlington for this opportunity and adds that the funds will be put to good use.

This is the first year that San Isidro Elementary has been open.

Over 600 students are currently enrolled in the school.
