Mexican Pony League to participate in world series

The Laredo Pony League held a press conference on Saturday to announce the attendance of Pony teams from Mexico in their upcoming tournament.

This will be the first time the Mexico pony league will join this competition, with teams of boys and girls.

The Mexican softball and baseball teams will join other teams from across the state, internationally and locally.

The city of Laredo hopes that this competition will impact the cities economy in a positive way.

Arturo Cruz an official with the Mexican Pony League say, the girls who are coming, are very motivated about this competition.

Some international teams from Chinese Taipei and Puerto Rico will also participate.
