Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina is asking state elections officials to look at allegations of voter irregularities.

According to Tijerina, it all centers around the mail in and absentee ballots from the past primary election.

Judge Tijerina says, he’s submitted a letter to the Secretary of State and the Attorney General’s Office notifying them of his concerns.

Tijerina adds that the way the results turned out does not add up and that many of the ballots that were submitted by mail appeared to have the same handwriting and from the same neighborhood clusters.

Tijerina says, “They're all put together in a couple of blocks some of them have between seven to ten even a little bit more. It just didn't make any sense. I did not sign it, they were signed both times.”

Judge Tijerina says that mail in ballots and absentee ballots are the easiest way for someone wanting to commit fraud to actually be able to do it.

Tijerina adds that the attorney general says he will come to Laredo to look into the allegations.
