Man arrested for allegedly assaulting man with bat back in March

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A man is arrested for an aggravated assault case that happened nearly eight months ago.

Laredo Police arrested 57-year-old Daniel Torres Sr. in the case.

According to Laredo Police back in March of 2018, authorities received a call about an assault near the 600 block of Rancho Viejo Drive.

When officers arrived, a man stated that Torres hit him with a baseball bat.

The report was filed and turned over to the Crimes Against Persons Division.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that they had enough probable cause to secure an arrest warrant.

On November 6th, authorities were able to locate Torres and secure an arrest.

Torres was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was transported to the Webb County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
