Mother and infant found dead inside Central Texas home after fire

TAYLOR, Texas (NBC) - A woman and her infant daughter are dead after an early morning house fire in Taylor, Texas.

Firefighters were responding to another call when they noticed smoke coming from the house.

Officials stopped to check on the house and when they got inside they found 30-year-old Amy Baylor and eight-month-old, Aleigha Sealey dead in a bedroom.

Police say that they don't know if the fire killed the mother and the daughter.

Authorities do suspect possible foul play.

Police have not made any arrests or named any suspects, but they did take Baylor’s husband in for questioning.

The investigation remains ongoing.
