One-year-old thrown from stroller after being hit by a car

A one year-old child is in critical condition after being hit by a car while being pushed in a stroller.

Authorities say the incident happened at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday as the child’s parents were pushing the strollers across the street in downtown Houston.

Investigators believe the driver had a green light and the parents were crossing the street against the signal.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident.

Houston Police are still investigating the incident.
