Pence promotes Trump's so-called border "Crisis"

(NBC) - As the partial government shutdown enters day 18, Vice President Mike Pence tells NBC News that he expects President Trump to "explain to the American people that we have a humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border" during a prime-time address Tuesday night.

When asked whether or not the president will declare a national emergency in order to build his border wall, Pence said a decision has not yet been made, but it is "something he's looking at and considering."

Mr. Trump will try to justify why he needs more than $5 billion for the border wall, during his live, Oval Office address tonight. He will also make a trip to the border Thursday.
