LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Laredo Pony and Pony National will once again play host to the Pony 2019 Palomino World Series in the Gateway City.
On Wednesday, organizers announced that teams and coaches from all over the world will be returning to Laredo this August.
This is for the baseball 17 and 18-year-old division.
In addition, Pony Bronco Teams will make their debut this summer as well as their own World Series which is made up of 11 and 12-year-olds.
The Laredo Pony League President Richard Rosas says this type of event is just one of the events puts Laredo on the map.
Rosas says Laredo gets a lot of exposure because you have teams from Asia, Mexico and Europe coming to the city.
The 18 and under division World Series will be played at Uni-Trade Stadium and the 12 and under will played at various baseball fields around the city.
Both World Series will be played simultaneously in August.
