LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Over seven million dollars worth of upgrades were unveiled at the Providence Health Center in north Laredo.
In an effort to relieve some of the congestion at Doctors Hospital, operating rooms and other spaces have been updated and equipped to restore surgical services.
The goal is to give patients a new place to seek out specialized care.
Health experts are hoping to focus on less challenging procedures like dental issues and ear-nose and throat services while Doctors Hospital deals with the more complicated surgeries.
Tanni Diaz says they have the newest equipment and latest technology including machines for ophthalmology.
Guests were able to take a tour of the center to see the highlights of the center's renovations.
Representatives also conducted a short program to recognize community leaders.
