Motorcyclist loses his life after colliding into vehicle

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A man is dead after an accident at a major intersection in central Laredo over the weekend.

The Laredo Police Department confirmed that 28-year-old Juan Guerra succumbed to the injuries after his motorcycle collided into a car at the intersection of Saunders and Bartlett Avenue on Saturday evening.

Witnesses says Guerra allegedly ran the red light which led to the collision.

He was reportedly not wearing a helmet and was thrown from his motorcycle.

Guerra was taken to the hospital but his injuries were so severe that he was getting ready to be airlifted to San Antonio; however, he passed away before leaving.

The driver of the car was not injured and he showed no signs of intoxication.
