Scattered showers formed in the late afternoon mainly over northwest Webb county into La Salle county as the sea breeze from the east encountered a weak wind shift boundary over that area. The atmosphere remains mostly too dry for shower activity to form during Friday. An upper level low developing over north Texas will move southwest into west and southwest Texas this weekend. The heaviest rain with this system will be west of us from Wichita Falls southwest through the Hill Country and on into northeast Mexico. We may see some scattered showers as far east as our part of the state during the weekend. Drier air will expand north and west into our area with sunnier hot weather next week.
I'm expecting mostly clear after any early evening scattered showers mostly northwest of Laredo, low in the high 70's. Mostly sunny Friday, high in the low 100's. Partly to mostly cloudy Saturday and Sunday. A slight chance of showers. High in the upper 90's to around 100. Mostly sunny Monday through Thursday, high in the low 100's.
