LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Local law enforcement agencies are getting ready for a big event that helps bring hope and pride to Special Olympics athletes.
Details were announced on Tuesday for the annual ‘Flame of Hope’ torch run.
The run goes from Laredo to Arlington and it is all part of the Special Olympics Texas Summer Games.
More than 400 law enforcement officers and first responders from around the state are expected in Arlington on Friday to deliver the Flame of Hope and participate in the opening ceremony.
This year is the 48th anniversary of the Special Olympics Texas Summer Games.
