LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Several little mad scientists showed off their skills during a robotics competition.
Twenty-eight teams from Texas-area middle schools and high schools gathered for the Laredo Metro League event.
The event was held at TAMIU where participants were judged based on their robot’s capabilities.
The challenge was for the robots to complete several tasks such as a moon landing and collecting blocks.
The robots were built from scratch, cut and coded all by the students.
Six teams advanced to the state level in Austin.
Students were also judged on their engineering design.
