Students all over the Gateway City are getting ready to unwind and relax during their Spring Break.

While most students may spend their break taking it easy, some students will be volunteering their time by giving back.

With help from a non-profit organization, TAMIU has set up an initiative for students to serve abroad.

The Global Medical Brigade Chapter at TAMIU will be taking their trip to Nicaragua to lend a helping hand.

Every year students take on the venture to serve low-income communities from all across the globe.

This year, 41 students will be participating in the annual event.

The students were able to raise funds to provide medical care during their visit.
