Teacher accused of dragging autistic boy to appear in court

WURTLAND, KY (NBC) - The teacher accused of dragging an autistic boy down the hallway is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.

Trina Abram will be arraigned on misdemeanor assault charges.

Security video of her taken back in October shows her dragging the nine-year-old by his arms down the hallway.

The incident happened at an elementary school in Wurtland, Kentucky.
The boy's mother says he suffers from several mental illnesses including autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

School officials say the teacher is nolonger working there.
