Teen crashes into Walmart as he was attempting to run over girlfriend

SAN ANGELO, TX (CNN) - A pickup truck is seen on surveillance video barreling through the front door of a Texas Walmart store.

Police say when they arrived at the scene, 19-year-old Caleb Wilson sped away and hit a car in the parking lot.

He was finally arrested in the parking lot of a gas station after briefly resisting arrest.

The crash was not a smash and grab, instead it was a personal matter.

The incident started when a witness saw Wilson leaving the store with his 18-year-old girlfriend on Thursday when the two began arguing in the parking lot.

The female customer intervened and told the girlfriend to go into the store for safety.

When the two walked outside the store to see if Wilson was still there, that’s when Wilson drove his truck into the store and allegedly attempted to run them over.

The two women jumped out of the truck’s path and the truck plowed right into the store, damaging multiple displays, shelves and merchandise.

Police took Wilson to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.

He is facing multiple felony charges.

The store is still cleaning up the mess from the crash.

The damage is estimated to be about half a million dollars.
