Nearly a dozen men are arrested for soliciting sex near a popular street in town.
The Laredo Police Department says they have received several complaints regarding prostitution by the San Bernardo area.
On Friday, the police department conducted an operation between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. that led to ten men ranging in age from 21 to 62 getting arrested for soliciting from an undercover officer.
Investigator Joe Baeza says San Bernardo is a hot spot for this activity.
Baeza also adds that there has been an array of motels in the area where sex providers go to deliver their services.
Aside from being arrested for prostitution, one man was charged with evading arrest, and another for possession of marijuana.
Police arrested Marco Antonio Alvarado, Alvaro Paramo, Geronimo Resendez, Genaro Hernandez, Osman Padilla, Hector Bernal, Jorge Mora, Jesus Casarez, Jose Gonzalez and Gregorio Gutierrez.
All of the men were taken to the Webb County Jail.
