Texas girl battling cancer gets to be police officer for a day

FREEPORT, TX (CNN) - A six-year-old girl fighting cancer got a chance to live out one of her dreams.

Abigail Arias of Freeport Texas has been fighting the disease since she was four-years-old.

Despite the battle, Abigail says she still wanted to become a police officer when she grows up.

On Thursday the police department made that dream a reality by making her an honorary officer.

After the ceremony, Abigail showed off her uniform, badge, and handcuffs.
