Truck crashes into bucket lift, sends utility worker flying

HOUSTON, TEXAS (KTRK) - A Houston-area utility worker is lucky to be alive after a close call that had him clinging to a light pole.

According to KTRK, the incident happened on February 25th in Fort Bend County when a man hoisted in a bucket above a highway was working on a traffic light.

Andrew Wolf, a professional photographer had his dash cam rolling at the time as he drove by the freeway.

Video shows the moment a tractor-trailer hits the bucket and knocks the worker out of the box.

Wolf says the man dangled there in his safety harness before the rest of the crew lowered him down.

The worker was in complete shock what had just happened but was determined to be okay.
