Turkey charges at deputies in Colorado

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO (NBC) - Thanksgiving may be less than two weeks away, but two deputies in Colorado might not be able to look at a turkey the same way ever again.

Two deputies were finishing up a call when they spotted a wild turkey near the area.

As they were walking back to their patrol car, one of them let out a turkey call which attracted the big bird.

As deputies kept walking, the turkey started charging after them down the driveway, across the street and right up to their patrol cars.

Luckily the deputies were not harmed but they would like to remind people that wild turkeys have sharp beaks and claws that can cause serious injuries.
