Twenty-three arrested in 'Operation Sober Up and Save Lives' initiative

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Over 20 people were arrested in an initiative that is aimed at reducing the number of drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The Webb County Sheriff’s Office launched its ‘Operation Sober Up and Save Lives’ campaign at the end up June and continued through mid-August.

As a result 23 people were arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and remanded to the Webb County Jail. The operation ran every Friday and Saturday morning during the past two months.
