LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Two unique cases are now part of the list of positive COVID-19 cases in the City of Laredo and Webb County.
A second pregnant woman and a child have tested positive for COVID-19.
Over the weekend, data popped up on the City of Laredo website that showed the youngest case is a two-year-old. This is the first pediatric case locally.
As of now, the age range of individuals who are or have been positive is between two and 96-years-old.
However, in Monday's media briefing City of Laredo Health Department Director Doctor Hector Gonzalez announced that a second pregnant woman has tested positive.
The first positive pregnant woman was reported just last week.
When asked how the pregnant women and child are doing, Dr. Gonzalez simply said they are all doing well.
The majority of cases are still females and transmitted from close contact and community transmission.
On Sunday, the City of Laredo and Webb County positive cases reached the triple digits.
The total positive count is now at 122. A total of 596 tested have been done locally, of that 367 are negative.
Currently, 15 people are in recovery and 6 people have passed away.
