UISD investigating computer hacking
An investigation is underway at a United ISD school after recent allegations were brought to light about students accessing teachers’ computers.
The district says that two students from United High School placed a device on several of the educators’ computers.
Officials say the device was installed in the computer back in May, but the discovery was made in August.
The district says the students used the recorded information to retrieve passwords.
The student did this in order to access the teacher’s files and electronic grade books to change grades.
The district says they will be taking disciplinary action towards both of the students.
