Dry tropical air has moved in above our layer of humid gulf air. Low cloud and patchy fog may develop in the humid air toward morning. The layer of gulf air is thin enough for the drier air above to stir down with the heating of the day. This will mix a lot of the low cloud away in the afternoon. A front will stall out to our north Thursday. Moist air south of the front may be a little thicker in depth, and it may be harder to mix away the clouds. A hint of influence from the Mexican Plateau will bring mostly sunny skies and very warm weather Friday. A cooler, but dry airmass from the Great Plains will bring comfortable afternoon temperatures Sunday and Monday.
I'm expecting low cloud and patchy fog late tonight, low in the mid 60's. Becoming partly cloudy Wednesday afternoon, high in the low to mid 80's. Mostly cloudy Thursday, highs in the upper 70's to low 80's. Becoming mostly sunny and quite warm Friday, high in the upper 80's. Mostly sunny Saturday, high around, possibly into the 80's. Mostly sunny Sunday and Monday, highs in the low to mid 70's. Partly cloudy Tuesday, high around 80.
