Law enforcement does a great job in keeping the community safe... but that job can be challenging without the right equipment.
After a request made to commissioners, the Sheriff's office was approved for 10 new patrol units.
During a press conference, the Webb County Sheriff's office unveiled their new units.
The new vehicles are fully equipped with the latest technology including advanced sirens meant to get the attention of distracted drivers... automatic license readers... and surveillance cameras.
These vehicles will replace units that have experienced regular wear and tear. They are valued at 82-thousand per unit.
Thanks to these new upgrades deputies will be able to continue keeping the county safe with ease.
